Meet Sassy Sister Decadent Blueberry Liqueur:
“My story darling? I was conceived by blueberries and red currants after they met over an aged brandy. I’ve been called strong, sweet and a little tart, and I’m a proud Aussie award-winner who appeals to those with good taste.”
Hailing from regional Victoria near Mansfield, she is labour of love and passion of Amanda Furlong and Rob Mitchell who have named her after two sisters in the family who combine a sweet nature with a zesty wit and luscious vintage style.
She is lovingly made by steeping organic blueberries in aged brandy (up to 20 years old), blending with a younger brandy for up to a year then hand-pressing and ageing for another 5-6 years in French and American oak casks until she is mature, full flavoured and mellow.
At 33.4% ABV, she can be delicious on her own, over ice and loves cocktails. She parties particularly well with Australian gins and sparkling wines.
