The results of the inaugural Australian International Spirits Competition (AUISC) 2020 have just been released with a total of 181 medals awarded, comprised of 16 Judges’ Choice Medals, 58 Gold Medals, 97 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze Medals.

The AUISC introduces an international level of scoring with predominantly Australian judges in order to assess Australians’ taste in spirits. The judging was held at the Grace Hotel in Sydney on 17 February 2020 with entries from Australia and around the globe.
The spirits were judged blind on quality and flavour. The judges scored the various components and were tallied for a final score and possible medal. Medals are awarded from the highest score down, namely Judges’ Choice, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
