Absolut Vodka has launched Absolut Mix, the latest of the brand’s series of limited edition bottles marking their ongoing support for creativity, as well as the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) community.
Absolut Mix is inspired by the six colours of the LGBT Pride flag and the bottle’s semi-transparent triangles allow the colours to overlap in distinct ways when viewed from various angles while maintaining their individuality. This intersecting effect symbolises the connection that is created when various unique individuals mix together.
The bottle’s design gives a nod to the 2008 and 2015 Absolut Colours editions which were developed in collaboration with the Pride flag creator Gilbert Baker. In 2009, the Absolut No Labels edition, a bottle with no labels or logos, celebrated the potential of a world where people were accepted for who they are, rather than by any labels.
Unlike the design of most Absolut bottles, Absolut Mix does not have the logo in the centre of the bottle which symbolises the brand’s support for the removal of social labelling.
Absolut Mix was released for global travel retail in one litre bottles. You can get a peek at bottles in Australia at live music venues, Love Machine in Melbourne and Max Watts in Sydney.
