If you’ve been following Cocktails & Bars on instagram, you may have noticed a new series “Whisky in the Garden”, or rather “Whisky in The Gourmantic Garden” under similar hashtags.
We’ve had the idea for some time, to combine our award-winning edible/cocktail garden with our favourite spirit. During September 2022, we launched the new series with the aim of presenting whisk(e)y in less common surrounds and to demonstrate that the dark spirit is meant to be enjoyed everywhere.
Launching in spring was intentional to reinforce that sipping on a dram is not limited to the winter months. Our first whisky in the series happened to be Coastal Stone Nor’easter by Manly Spirits, inspired by summer breezes and matured by the sea and that is very much aligned with our garden’s coastal location.
Going forward, we’ll be presenting various whiskies in The Gourmantic Garden setting – no cocktails – just neat whisky/whiskey appreciation with our own tasting notes or simply for enjoyment. Much like our Friday Night Martini Ritual, we will update this page with the list as we go along.
