The Cerise Cocktail pairs the fruity and warm spice notes of brandy with two of our house-made cherry shrubs.
This is an elegant sipping drink with a vibrant colour which makes is well suited for special occasions be it a Valentine’s Day cocktail, a festive Christmas cocktail or to impress friends at home. Brandy and cherries make an ideal pairing and for the cocktail, we paired the fruity and warm spice flavours of brandy with our house-made cherry and lemon thyme shrub using the herb from the cocktail garden. Alternatively, try mixing it with the cherry shrub with Australian native botanicals.
Cerise Cocktail with Brandy and Cherry Shrub Recipe

Ingredients
- 60ml brandy
- 20ml cherry and lemon thyme shrub OR cherry shrub with Australian native botanicals
- 20ml simple syrup (1:1)
- splash of soda water
Glassware: coupette
Garnish: edible flower (we used heartsease)
Method
In a cocktail shaker, add the brandy, cherry shrub and simple syrup over ice and shake hard until cold. Strain into a chilled coupette. Add a splash of soda water and stir gently to combine. Garnish with an edible flower.
