Martini Time at Alice
Newly-opened cocktail bar Alice in The Rocks is offering mid-week Martinis at a special price. The menu consists of Gin & ‘IT’ (London Dry Gin and Sweet Vermouth served 50:50 with a drop of orange bitters), Flame of Love (Belvedere Vodka and Fino Sherry served 8:1 with burnt orange oils), Dry Martini (London Dry Gin and Dry Vermouth served 4:1 with olives or lemon peel) and Alaska (London Dry Gin and Yellow Chartreuse served 3:1 with lemon peel). Cocktail Expo Sydney
The inaugural Cocktail Expo took place in Sydney on Saturday 14 September 2022. The event had a vibe akin to a cocktail party with visitors tasting a wide range of cocktails while canapés were served throughout the sessions. The Luxe Bar, available at additional cost, featured premium spirits in creative cocktails such as the Rob Roy with Macallan Rare Cask, Sidecar with Chateau de Montifaud XO Cognac, Rum Old Fashioned with Lautoka Small Batch 16 YO rum, Margarita with Porfido Fraxinus Tequila, a reinvented Vesper with Potocki Rye Vodka, and The Outback with Gin and Jonnie GastroGin. Vanguard Luxury Brands Roadshow
Vanguard Luxury Brands hosted a trade roadshow and tasting of some of their extensive portfolio at Beta Events in Sydney on 26 September. On taste were some new releases and well loved expressions which included Tilde Vodka, Los Siete Misterios Mezcal, Four Pillars Yuzu Gin, Four Pillars Bandwagon (0% ABV), Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whisky, The Gospel Rye, Morris Whisky including the limited edition Smoked Muscat expression, Strangelove Tonics, Bearface Canadian Whisky, Glendalough and Rhubi Mistelle Aperitif.
