The ‘Garden Collins Summer Series’, a series dedicated to the Tom Collins cocktail continues with Raspberry and Rose Geranium Mezcal Collins using rose geranium from the garden.
Rose geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is a scented geranium a perennial evergreen shrub with furry leaves that emit a highly aromatic rose scent. Like all scented geraniums, their leaf hairs have tiny glands responsible for the aroma and oil it releases when the leaves are crushed.
The smokiness of Mezcal is paired with the fruity, berry flavour of seasonal raspberries along with a floral note from rose geranium leaves – a fine way to make use of rose geranium and seasonal raspberries.
