This is Stolen Rum. And it hails from across the ditch in New Zealand.
Stolen Spiced Rum is a Caribbean style of rum from Trinidad and Tobago that has been infused with coffee and tobacco flavours. Dark and mysterious, it wears a censored label due to anti-tobacco advertising legislation in Australia. Elsewhere, the brand is called Stolen Coffee and Cigarettes Spiced Rum.
Gently-spiced with a sweet coffee aroma and a smoky and smooth mouthfeel, the rum can be sipped on its own or topped with lemonade and a wedge of lemon.
Stolen Spiced Rum (42% ABC) joins the range of Stolen White, Gold and Dark Rum tasted at Sugarcane Sunday and is available for a RRP of $42.95.
