The Time Out Sydney Bar Awards 2017 were announced at an event held at Star Sky Terrace in Pyrmont.
This year, Time Out made a few changes. A new category was introduced, Best Restaurant Bar while dropping the Best Party Bar category from the Sydney awards as not enough venues remained open to create a healthy competition. The Highly Commended award within each category was also scrapped. A special award was introduced, Queen of the Party which acknowledges those keeping the flame of Sydney night life.
