The World’s 50 Best Bars 2020 have been announced digitally with The Connaught in London awarded the coveted first place, along with World’s Best Bar and Best Bar in Europe.

Coming in second place at the World’s 50 Best Bars 2020 is Dante in New York, also awarded the Best Bar in North America, and in the third spot, The Clumsies from Athens, Greece.
Australia had three entries, all from Sydney with Maybe Sammy at number 11, also awarded Best Bar in Australasia and Mitcher’s Art of Hospitality Award, Cantina OK! at number 28 and the return of Bulletin Place to the list in the 39th position. No other Australian bars made the list, with four Melbourne Bars in the previously announced World’s 50 Best Bars 2020 51-100 List.
The 2020 list features bars from 23 countries, with 11 new entries spread across Australia, Colombia, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Spain, Thailand and UK.
The Campari One To Watch was awarded to Dubai’s Galaxy Bar while the Industry Icon Award went to Ashtin Berry from USA and Renato Giovannoni from Florería Atlántico, Buenos Aires as Altos Bartenders’ Bartender. Here’s the full list of the World’s 50 Best Bars 2020.
