Named after the ruler of the dark and guardian of the afterlife, Baron Samedi Spiced Rum is released in Australia.
Baron Samedi Spiced (40% ABV) is crafted using a premium blend of Caribbean column-still rum enhanced with traditional Jamaican pot-still rum. Natural ingredients include vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, clove and vetiver, which is sourced from the Baron’s home in Haiti.
On the nose, the spirit has notes of vanilla and cacao and bursts on the palate with woody and warm spices mainly cinnamon followed by notes of cacao. The flavour profile is mainly at the front palate, smooth and rich with a dry finish.
Designed to be a mixing spirit, Baron Samedi Spiced goes well in cocktails and mixed drinks such as topped with ginger beer, Hoodoo Voodoo with fresh berries, sweet vermouth and pomegranate, and the Baron Iced Tea with fresh lemon, black tea, dark sugar and spices.
