Take your taste buds to the tropics with the Blue Hawaiian slushie, a frozen cocktail with a base of rum, Blue Curaçao, pineapple juice and cream of coconut.
The Blue Hawaiian is not to be confused with the Blue Hawaii, the latter being a sour based blue cocktail usually made with a sweet and sour mix instead of cream of coconut.
For this recipe, we used pineapple sage, an aromatic herb which foliage that has the aroma of pineapple and lends a herbaceous note to the drink. The frozen cocktail is made with a blender where all ingredients are blended together before ice is added incrementally until the desired slushie consistency is reached.
