Chivas Regal has launched Chivas Regal Ultis, a luxury expression and the brand’s first 100% blended malt.
Chivas Regal Ultis is a blend of five single malts which are the signature malts of the Chivas house style: Strathisla (stone fruit with malty character), Longmorn (creamy vanilla), Tormore (citrus notes), Allt A’Bhainne (spice) and Braeval (floral notes and a delicate finish). According to master Blender, Colin Scott, “each malt and each individual blender have added an element of expertise to the whisky, which is unique to the blend”. The luxury expression is a tribute to five generations of Master Blenders who have spent their life’s work creating the Chivas signature style since 1909.
To launch the expression in 2016, Hollywood actor Chris Evans (Captain America) visited Australia in his new role as Asia Pacific Ambassador for Chivas Regal. The launch event was also hosted by Australian Chivas Regal Ambassador Michael Klim. Both men are part of Chivas Regal’s latest campaign, Win the Right Way, with the aim of reinforcing the belief that real success is not measured by a man’s wealth alone but by how many lives he has enriched.
Chivas Regal Ultis Tasting Notes
- Nose: The aroma presents ripe peach and red apples with accompanying cinnamon, fudge and honey infusions.
- Palate: Tasting reveals a smooth vanilla texture, brimming with clementine and apricots, before giving way to a background of soft caramel, spicy cloves and ginger.
- Finish: A bold finish is long with a warm hint of heather, leaving a satisfyingly full experience
Chivas Regal Ultis in 700ml through selected retailers and in 1 Litre bottles as a travel retail whisky.
