Bass & Flinders Distiller’s Selection Single Cask Brandy (48% ABV) is a limited edition release, with only 140 bottles produced. Matured in a single cask and bottled in its purest, non-chill filtered form, the Australian brandy is crafted from combining Bass & Flinders Distillery’s in-house distilled Victorian Chardonnay eau de vie with 6 years of aging in French Limousin oak.
The base spirit was produced in-house by Head Distiller Holly Klintworth using a traditional Charentaise double distillation method and gas-fired alembic pot still to celebrate a quintessentially Australian grape variety – Chardonnay – sourced form a single vineyard. Dried fruit, fragrant tea and perfumed floral aromas precede a rich palate of raisins, orange zest and toffee notes while the hint nutmeg spice lingers long after the first warming sip.
Bass & Flinders Distiller’s Selection Single Cask Brandy is set for release on 20th August and will be available for purchase exclusively from the Bass & Flinders Distillery website.
