The Greyhound is a two-ingredient cocktail which consists of gin or vodka and grapefruit juice served in a tall glass over ice. Not to be confused with the Salty Dog, the tall drink lacks the salt rim on the glass.
The cocktail is said to feature in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book published in 1930. It was a popular drink at Post House, a popular restaurant chain at the Greyhound bus terminals and hence it came to be referred to as the Greyhound Cocktail.
