The Tom Collins lends itself to many adaptation as featured in our Garden Collins Summer Series. The adaptation of the Tom Collins pairs the brightness of lemons with botanicals from the gin and the floral notes of fresh lavender flowers.
Lavender is a perennial aromatic herb that is low maintenance and easy to grow in cocktail garden. If fresh flowers aren’t available, dried flowers can be used.
Limoncello Lavender Collins Recipe
Original recipe created by Cocktails & Bars
- 30ml gin
- 60ml limoncello
- 30ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 barspoon of lavender flowers
- soda water to top
Glassware: Collins glass
Garnish: lavender sprig
In a cocktail shaker, add gin, limoncello, freshly squeezed lemon juice and half a barspoon of lavender flowers. Add ice and shake vigorously until well chilled. Double strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice cubes. Top with soda water and stir gently. Garnish with a lavender sprig.
