Previously, we presented an in-depth interview with Nusa Caña Co-Founders Sam Jeveons & Marc Rodrigues and the forgotten story of Indonesian rum. In this article, we present Nusa Caña cocktails that demonstrate the versatility of the rum in exotic drinks that can be replicated at home or in the bar.
Nusa Caña Rum Tasting Notes
Nusa Caña Tropical Island Rum has aromas of vibrant cane juice, banana, coconut and spice. The palate opens with fresh cane and young coconut moving to mature dry wood, vanilla and toasted banana leaf and finishes smooth with structure, body and lingering cane.
Nusa Caña Spiced Island Rum has aromas of spiced-pineapple fruit cake, raw sugarcane along with coffee and chocolate undertones. The palate has pineapple sweetness intermingled with clove, nutmeg with raw sugarcane funk. Deeper notes of coffee and cacao carried on spicy ginger lead to a dry and spiced finish that lingers with ginger, sugarcane and nutmeg.
