Rémy Martin XO Cognac Opulence Revealed is an interactive and multi-sensory tasting experience presented by international brand ambassador Thierry Arnold in Sydney.
Dubbed as Opulence Revealed, the experience allowed guests to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the finer points of Rémy Martin XO Cognac through an exploration of aromas, flavours and textures.
The Cognac region in France is located in the departments of Charente and Charente-Maritime. Cellar Master André Giraud set out in In 1981 to create an XO that would express the excellence of the Cognac Fine Champagne. Up to 400 different eaux-de-vie go into the blend that makes up the Cognac expression coming exclusively from the highest-quality vineyards of Cognac, 85% from the Grande Champagne and 15% from Petite Champagne.
A sensory table of spices such as cinnamon and saffron, Parmesan cheese, various chocolates, grapes and stone fruit, dried apricots and figs, candied orange, honey, walnuts and hazelnuts and an array of flowers enabled guests to connect with the Cognac‘s distinctive flavours.
Rémy Martin XO Cognac is bottled at 40% ABV and is described as having aromas of ripe fruit, with floral notes of jasmine. The palate is rich and viscous with flavours of candied orange, ripe summer fruit, cinnamon, ginger and hazelnuts with a luscious long and lingering finish.
