The Rose Geranium Spritzer is a sparkling cocktail made with rose geranium leaves and rosé champagne in a French 75 style.
As featured on my Festive Drinks segment on Real World Gardener radio broadcast on 22 December 2021
The rose geranium plant may be considered old school in the garden but the tall shrub with aromatic leaves that have a rose scent has a multitude of uses in the kitchen and the bar. The scented plant was originally featured in my rose geranium and strawberry shrub which was featured in Botanical Beverages, my segment on ABC TV’s Gardening Australia.
Inspired by the French 75, the Rose Geranium Spritzer is a sparkling cocktail I featured in part two of my Festive Drinks radio segment on Real World Gardener 2RRR 88.5FM. It combines gin with lemon juice and rose geranium syrup lengthened with a dry rosé champagne. Elegant and floral, it makes for a sparkling start to any celebration or to enjoy during the festive season.
