The Spicy Avocado Margarita brings a touch of heat and creaminess to the classic cocktail.
The popular tequila-based cocktail gets a creamy texture from ripe avocado and a subtle spicy kick from Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur.
To make the cocktail, add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and blend with an immersion blender until smooth. Top with ice, shake and serve. Coriander leaf can also be added to the mix and blended but as the herb can be divisive, it has been left out of this recipe.
The cocktail is garnished with Tajín, a Mexican seasoning consisting primarily of chile peppers, lime and sea salt. It adds a zingy note and brightens up the cocktail. Here, it is used as a garnish though it can be used to rim the glass.
