Sydney Bar Week for 2015 is almost here and it’s time to get involved with a host of activities that include both trade and consumers.
Bar Week by Australian Bartender runs in Sydney from Saturday 19 September to Tuesday 22 September 2015 and culminates in the Bar Awards ceremony at Doltone House. There are many events, masterclasses and parties so we’ve put together our top 10 picks for this year’s Sydney Bar Week.
1. Vintage Cocktails with Veteran Bartenders
WHAT: Mike Enright and a collective of bartending veterans who will be mixing up some classic cocktails.
WHEN: Saturday, 19th September 2015, 6pm – 9pm

2. Native Cocktails & Canapés
WHAT: It’s all about supporting local distillers and using native herbs and spices in this Cocktails & Canapés degustation. 4 cocktails and 4 matching canapés with 666 Vodka, Westwinds Gin, The Melbourne Gin Company Dry Gin, and Beenleigh Rum.

3. A Global Whisk(e)y Expedition

4. Ice Ball Masterclass
WHAT: Learn to make crystal clear ice, ice balls then get hands-on and chip an ice ball from a large block of ice with Tokyo Bird bar manager, Yoshi Onishi. Finish with a nip of Hibiki Japanese Harmony over your very own hand-chipped ice ball.

5. Indie Tasting
