Created from a mixed grain bill of 65% malted barley, 30% raw barley and 5% oats, Hunter Island Tasmanian Pot Still Whisky Bourbon / Port Cask Matured (48% ABV) is triple distilled in copper pot stills. The whisky is matured in first-fill European Oak Port and American Oak Bourbon casks, cut back with pure Tasmanian mountain water and bottled in its natural state with no chill filtration.
Tasting Notes: Warm fruity nose, dried fig and pears, creamy-sweet and viscous on the palate, notes of freshly ground nutmeg, gingerbread, fine oak, with a lingering peppery and spicy finish.
