The first in our pandan cocktail series is the Pandan Gimlet, a three ingredient classic cocktail given a Southeast Asian twist.
We’ve previously covered the Gimlet and its variations, the combination of gin and Rose’s lime cordial that has its origins in the Royal Navy. The Pandan Gimlet makes use of the pandan syrup to give another dimension to the classic cocktail, with a nutty note that peaks then lingers on the finish. For best results, a dry style of gin is recommended. A citrus-forward gin also works well but it’s best to avoid a gin with a floral profile.
