Bartenders in NSW, do you have what it takes to win the Sydney Cider Cocktail Competition 2018?
Sydney Brewery, producer of Sydney Cider, Agave Ginger Cider and Manly Perry is inviting bartenders in NSW to enter the Sydney Cider Cocktail Competition 2018 and put their creativity to use in a cider-based cocktail.
The rules are simple. Create a Sydney-inspired cocktail using an Australian native ingredient and a minimum of 60 ml of either Sydney Cider, Agave Ginger Cider or Manly Perry.
Sydney Cider Cocktail Competition 2018 Prizes
Three generous prizes are up for grabs. Aside from the bragging rights, the first prize winner will enjoy one night’s accommodation for two at Rydges Sydney Central, a tour of the new Sydney Brewery, dinner for two at Rydges Sydney Central including Sydney Brewery drinks, and 10 cartons of Sydney Brewery products of their choice. The first prize is valued at $1200.
The second prize winner will get 10 cartons of any Sydney Brewery products valued at $700 and the third prize is 5 cartons of Sydney Brewery products of their choice valued at $350.
Key Dates
- Monday 5 March 2018 – Competition opens and entries are accepted via email (see below).
- Tuesday 10 April 2018 – Competition closes at midnight. Judging of entries begins to select finalists.
- Tuesday 17 April 2018 – Finalists are announced on Cocktails & Bars.
- Monday 23 April 2018 – Competition Finals are held between 5-8 pm at the Cidery Bar in World Square where the winner will be announced on the night.
How to Enter
To enter the Sydney Cider Cocktail Competition 2018:
- Create an original Sydney-inspired cocktail using an Australian native ingredient and a minimum of 60 ml of either Sydney Cider, Agave Ginger Cider or the new Manly Perry*.
- Email the name of your cocktail, a short paragraph describing the inspiration behind it and a photo of the drink in landscape format to [email protected].
