Next in the Cobbler series, here’s how to make a Vermouth Cobbler using sweet vermouth.
The Vermouth Cobbler is a riff on the Sherry Cobbler that was featured earlier. This recipe uses sweet vermouth, sugar and orange. The ingredients are muddled, shaken and strained over crushed ice with a splash of soda water added. For photography purposes and to prevent the crushed ice quickly melting, we used mini ice cubes which can be made using these mini ice cube trays and a stainless steel straw.
The recipe can be used as a template for other vermouth variants such as dry, rosé and extra dry vermouth. These can be paired with a choice of fruit that highlights the botanicals of the fortified wine.
The Vermouth Cobbler another low ABV drink or vermouth cocktail that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, served for brunch or simply sipped to quench that thirst on hot summer afternoons.
