Christmas Gift Guide 2020: Moore’s We Three Kings Gin
Give the ultimate “spiritual” gift with Moore’s We Three Kings, an Australian gin crafted by Head Distiller Philip Moore of Distillery Botanica. The gin is macerated with Christmas puddings made using his family’s ancient recipe then blended with gifts from the Three Kings: Edible Gold from Melchior of Persia, Frankincense from Caspar of India and Myrrh from Balthazar of Arabia. The orient brings festive spices of cinnamon allspice and nutmeg. The orchard brings oranges and lemons in addition to the muscatel grapes, currants and sultanas.
For this year’s vintage, they used the Christmas pudding spirit that was stored from last year’s production. The spirit had mellowed over the past year which has made this year’s We Three Kings Gin fruitier and fuller bodied. Sip it neat, in a Martini or with Fever-Tree aromatic tonic.
