The inaugural Drink of the Year Awards 2022 by Boothby were revealed at an industry event held on 29 November at Double Deuce Lounge in Sydney.

The winner of the Drink of the Year 2022 is the Africola by Michael Chiem at Sydney bar, PS40, an innovative take on hot and cold temperatures. PS40 and Chiem also ranked at number 5 on the list with their Salted Piña Colada.
The Drinks List of the Year was awarded to Melbourne bar Byrdi for its innovative drinks list created by bartender and owner Luke Whearty. He also ranked at number 4 on the list with his drink Snow, and number 17 with Fallen Fruit.
The People’s Drink of the Year was awarded to Eoin Kenny from Long Chim in Perth for his drink, Lychee, a take on a clear, tall drink as voted on by the public.
