Hacienda Sydney is set to rebrand to Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge when it opens next month with a cocktail menu by Tim Philips-Johansson.
Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge is set to open on November 15, taking over the venue formerly known as Hacienda Sydney.
Located in the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, the South American-inspired vista bar is the third Australian Hyde nightlife brand opening following Hyde Paradiso on the Gold Coast and more recently Hyde Perth Kitchen + Cocktails.
Best described as a hybrid dinner, drinks and dancing venue, the hotel bar will continue the original vintage vibe inspired by 1950’s Miami hotels but with a more refined identity. Hyde Hacienda will have a focus on table service, private booth hire, bar theatrics, a premium beverage offering and weekend DJs. The new lounge area will increase the seating capacity, maximising the opportunity to enjoy the venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The opening will see a new cocktail menu designed by Tim Philips-Johansson, Senior Consultant at Sweet&Chilli. Tim has more than 17 years’ experience in hospitality. The former World Class Global Winner is also co-owner of the highly awarded bar, Bulletin Place and Surry Hills restaurant Dead Ringer. Cocktails on the opening menu include Coffee & Malt Old Fashioned, where the old fashion classic meets the Espresso Martini; Chia Daiquiri, made with rum infused with strawberries and rose and served with a chia roll-up; and Pimm’s Smash, a refreshing summer punch with pomegranate and watermelon.
Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge is set to open on November 15, 2019.
