Tanglin Mandarin Chilli Gin from Singapore is a modern style of gin with botanicals that include mandarin, chilli, young ginger, kampot pepper and kaffir lime.
The gin has fresh, natural sweet mandarin citrus characters and a hint of orange blossom and kaffir lime on the nose. Kaffir lime leads on the front palate followed by sweet mandarin orange citrus with a hint of ginger. Young ginger and kampot pepper combine with chilli to give a hint of warmth that lingers on the finish without any burn.
Tanglin Mandarin Chilli Gin works best with soda water in a 60ml:90ml ratio with a lime wheel garnish. In cocktails, it is well suited to a Red Snapper.
