Kilderkin Distillery in Ballarat is renowned for crafting gins that capture the spirit of Australia. In making Sunburnt Country Bush Tucker Gin, they selected the best of Australian bush tucker, roast wattleseed, lemon myrtle, lemon aspen, Kakadu plum, native blood lime, desert lime, bush tomato, strawberry gum, Davidson’s plum and finger lime alongside juniper and coriander seed.
Bottled at 50.7% ABV, Australia’s highest temperature on record, Sunburnt Country Larrikin Gin has hints of dried plum, limey zest and a unique roasty character along with strawberry and lemon notes. The juniper, although present is a little restrained to allow the native botanicals to shine through.
Mix it in your favourite cocktail, or simply add ice and tonic to highlight the strawberry gum and lemon aspen.
